Humann Buildings Solutions represented on USGBC LEED TAG 2016

Daniel Huard Founding Principal of Humann Building Solutions has been seated on the USGBC LEED TAG (Water Efficiency Technical Advisory Group).  Huard has been selected by the USGBC Board of Directors to represent and contribute. Huard has maintained an active role in USGBC for many years and is very respected for his contributions including contributing to the LEED v4 Rating Systems development and additionally authoring several articles available for review on the USGBC.org website. Brendan Owens, P.E., LEED Fellow, Chief of Engineering, US Green Building Council has recommended Daniel’s participation as well for the inaugural WaterBuild 2016 Summit to be held at Greenbuild 2016 in Los Angles where Daniel was not only a selected presenter but an organizer and adviser as well.

Daniel has been active in Green Building for over 20 years, a commitment that includes his current roles as member of USGBC’s LEED Water Efficiency Technical Advisory Group, USGBC Waterbuild 2016 Summit presenter and program team member, Greenbuild 2016 Host Committee team, NFRC Director and Governance Chair, ILFI Las Vegas Valley Collaborative LBC Collaborative Founder and Chair. Past commitments to Green Building include: President USGBC Nevada, USGBC Western Regional Council Chair, USGBC NV Chapter Director and Executive Committee member for a term limited six years, USGBC Emerging Professionals Chair -West (South) Region, LEED v4 Rating Systems Regionalization contributing author, Greenbuild International 2013, 2014, Program Review Team and Presenter, Living Future 2014, 2015 Program Review Team, Living Future 2015, 2016, Presenter, ILFI 2013, 2014, 2015, 2106 Project Summit and Ambassador Summit, in addition to Technical Subject Matter Expert to the US Department of the Interior since 2009.

    

Daniel Huard holds many professional designations and contributes to many professional organizations in many roles.

This year, China moved from second to first on the list as the largest user of LEED, with 34.62 million gross square meters (GSM) of certified LEED space. Canada, India, Brazil and the Republic of Korea rounded out the top five countries on the list, respectively. “By recognizing these leading countries, we are showcasing the exponential growth of LEED in the global marketplace and an international commitment to the creation of a sustainable built environment,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, President and CEO, USGBC.
